A Movies Web App for people who love movies. The Idea was to create an app that focuses mainly on keeping users up to date on upcoming movies. It includes a data base that constanly updates as the new movies are revealed. I had to extend the the UX to include already released movies to keep the users more engaged.
The app design had to be presented to the users in a simple yet attractive and lucid way. From my analysis, the main priority of the idea was to upcoming movies but to extend the functionality I had to include all points of the movies ecosystem. User scenarios were created from my research to determine the flow of the design.
For the home page, I went ahead and prioritized the Upcoming Movies to be the main items the user sees as soon as they land on the page. Made two main sections with one being the categories where users can choose what content they want to explore and the other section is where the content they choose will be displayed.

BOXOFFICE has two main interactive sections, The category menu where users can explore movie categories and the movie list that displays movies from selected category.
When you click on any particular movie item, you are presented with a creative triage of shear beauty. The page still maintains the familiarity expirienced on the previous page that included a quick access category section. The design leverages the image's color and automatically adapts the dominant color as a transparent background color of the page. I've presented the user with more information about the particular item the clicked, including the release date, the cast plus more.
